Cornipickle presented at WAQ 2018

The largest French-speaking digital event in North America – Web à Québec – was presented from April 10 to 12 in Quebec City, Canada. Some 1,500 participants gathered at this 8th edition, where the head of UQAC’s formal computer lab (LIF), Sylvain Hallé, also took part as a speaker. It is in particular to talk about Cornipickle, a software for detecting bugs in web applications developed in his laboratory, that he was invited to the event. The professor of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics has joined a select panel of 80 experts in the field.

With his talk entitled Intelligent Technologies for Technical Web Application Development, Sylvain Hallé was able to give an overview of the research carried out at LIF in recent years on the detection of bugs in Web applications. The result of these four years of research – Cornipickle – is a product for designers and developers available for free online. The software won the Best Tool Paper Award at the ICST Conference in 2015 (Graz, Austria).
